Packing Services London, Done For You
Full or partial packing across London with quality materials and careful handling, labelled by room and fully insured, by the same crews that move you.
Professional packing services across London
Packing is the part of a move most people underestimate. A London kitchen alone can take a day, and badly packed boxes are where breakages happen. Our packing service does it properly: quality materials, careful technique, and everything labelled by room and listed on an inventory, so unpacking at the other end is calm rather than chaotic. Choose full packing, partial packing for the kitchen and fragile items, or simply order materials and pack yourself.
The crews who pack are the crews who move you, so there is no handover and no confusion about what is where. Fragile and high-value items are wrapped to the right standard, with tailored cover arranged for anything valuable. We can pack the day before or on the morning of the move, working around your schedule, and we remove the empty boxes and materials afterwards if you would rather not deal with them.
How much do packing services in London cost?
Packing services in London start from around 150 pounds for full packing with materials included, from 80 pounds for partial packing of a kitchen or fragile items, and from 40 pounds for materials only delivered to your door. The full figure depends on the size of the home and how much needs wrapping, and we quote packing alongside the move so you see one fixed price.
Packing is modest against what it saves. A London kitchen alone can take a day to pack properly, and badly packed boxes are where breakages happen, so professional packing usually pays for itself in time and protection. For the full breakdown, see our cost guide.

Full, partial or materials only
Full packing means we pack your entire home, every room, with quality materials, labelled and inventoried, so you arrive to an ordered home rather than a wall of boxes. Partial packing covers the trickier parts, usually the kitchen and fragile items, while you handle the easy things like books and clothes yourself. Materials only means we deliver boxes, tape and wrap ahead of time and you pack at your own pace.
Many London households choose partial packing as the balance of cost and convenience, letting us handle the breakables while they pack the rest in the evenings before the move.
How we pack fragile and valuable items
Glassware, china, mirrors, lamps, electronics and artwork are where care matters most. Each piece is wrapped individually in bubble wrap and tissue, boxed with padding and clearly marked fragile, and pictures and mirrors go in dedicated boxes or are crated for valuable pieces. The aim is that nothing shifts in transit, which is where most breakages occur.
For high-value or specialist items such as antiques, fine art or a piano, our luxury service adds museum-grade materials and tailored insurance, arranged before the day.
Unpacking and box collection
Packing is only half the job, so we also unpack on request. The crew can unpack boxes, place items room by room, and take away the empty boxes and materials afterwards, so your new home is usable on day one rather than a fortnight of living among cartons.
You can choose to have us do everything, or just the kitchen and essentials so your first night is comfortable while you unpack the rest at your own pace.
Quality materials and labelling
Using proper materials, rather than reused supermarket boxes, is the simplest way to avoid breakages. We supply double-walled boxes, wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes, bubble wrap, tissue and tape, and everything is labelled by room and contents so the crew places each box in the right place and you can find essentials first.
An inventory of what was packed gives a clear record and peace of mind, useful for insurance and for keeping track of every box across a busy moving day.
When we pack, before or on the day
For larger London homes we usually pack the day before, so the move itself runs quickly; for smaller flats we often pack on the morning of the move. We work around your schedule and your building's access rules, and confirm the timing in the pre-move call.
Packing pairs naturally with house removals and with storage when there is a gap between homes, all arranged in one fixed-price plan.
How much time professional packing saves
Packing is the task people most underestimate. A typical two or three bedroom London home takes one to two full days to pack properly, and the kitchen and loft alone can each swallow an afternoon. Having a trained crew do it, with the right materials and a system, frees you to manage the move, the children or your job rather than living among half-filled boxes for a week.
It also reduces breakages, because experience and proper materials are what keep fragile items intact in transit, which is where most damage happens on a move.
Materials returned and waste kept down
After the move we collect the empty boxes and packing materials, so you are not left with a flat full of flattened cardboard to dispose of. Where boxes can be reused they are, which keeps both your cost and unnecessary waste down.
If you prefer to keep some boxes for a gradual unpack, that is fine: just tell the crew and we will collect the rest later at a time that suits you.
Wardrobes, books, kitchens and electronics
Some things need a particular approach. Hanging clothes go straight into wardrobe boxes so they arrive uncreased and ready to hang; books are split across small boxes so they stay liftable; and a kitchen is packed plate by plate and glass by glass with dividers and tissue. Electronics are wrapped and, where we can, packed in their original boxes, with cables bagged and labelled so reconnecting at the other end is simple.
Beds, wardrobes and flat-pack are dismantled as part of the move and rebuilt at the new home, with fixings bagged and labelled, so packing, dismantling and reassembly all join up rather than being separate jobs you have to chase.
Why choose Top London Removals
We are a registered London company, Companies House 12121213, and the crews who pack are the crews who move you, so there is no handover and no confusion about what is where. Quality materials, careful technique, labelling by room and a full inventory come as standard, and fragile and high-value items are wrapped to the right standard with cover arranged where needed.
Packing can be added to any move, in full or in part, with unpacking and box collection on request. And because the same team packs, transports and unpacks, there is a single point of accountability from the first box to the last, with no handover between a packing company and a separate remover to go wrong.
